1. Summary
Lord of the Net is an Android game on Google Play. Gameplay is driven by step counts read on your device (via Health Connect and/or the activity sensor). The app also integrates with Google Play Games (optional sign-in, achievements, and related Play Games features) and Google Play Billing (in-app purchases processed by Google).
We do not operate our own user-account servers and do not transmit your step / health data to our servers. Sign-in, cloud features tied to Play Games, and purchase processing are provided by Google under Google’s terms and privacy policy. Local save files and step calculations remain on your device unless you use Play Games features that sync progress through Google.
2. Developer and scope
Lord of the Net is published on Google Play by the developer named on the app’s store
listing. This policy applies to the LOTN Android app and related support pages hosted at
godsofangling.com/lotn/.
This policy works together with in-app permission prompts and disclosures shown when you start or continue playing (including step access and optional Play Games sign-in). Those prompts explain what the app needs for gameplay and optional Google services.
3. Health and fitness data (steps)
LOTN reads aggregated step counts — not GPS location, heart rate, weight, or other health categories. Step data is used only to credit in-game turns. It is not used for advertising, medical advice, fitness coaching, or profiling.
Sources (with your permission):
- Health Connect — read-only access to step totals via Android’s Health Connect APIs, including optional catch-up reads when you return to the app after being away;
- Device activity sensor — on-device step counter while the app is open, when activity recognition permission is granted; and
- Optional background health read — only if you grant the separate Health Connect background permission, so step totals can update when the app is not in the foreground.
The app does not write health data back to Health Connect. It does not call the Google Fit API directly. Other apps (such as Google Fit) may sync steps into Health Connect on your device; LOTN only reads from Health Connect locally and does not control third-party sync behavior.
No transmission of health data to us: Step counts and related gameplay calculations stay on your device. We do not send step or health data to our servers or to third-party analytics or advertising services. Google Play Games and Google Play Billing do not receive your Health Connect step totals from LOTN.
4. Google Play Games
LOTN integrates with Google Play Games Services. When you choose to sign in (or when the platform prompts you), Google may process information associated with your Google / Play Games account so the app can provide features such as:
- Play Games sign-in and player identity (as provided by Google);
- Achievements and related progress markers;
- Optional cloud save / progress sync through Play Games, when enabled; and
- Other Play Games features the app exposes (for example leaderboards), if offered.
Play Games sign-in is optional for core step-based play where the app allows local-only progress; some features may require sign-in. Account authentication and any Play Games cloud data are handled by Google, not by a LOTN-operated account backend. See Google’s Privacy Policy and Play Games documentation for how Google processes that information.
5. Google Play Billing (in-app purchases)
LOTN uses Google Play Billing to offer optional in-app purchases (for example cosmetic items, convenience features, or other digital content described in the store listing or in-app). Purchases are processed by Google through Google Play.
When you buy something, Google may process payment details, purchase history, and related account information under Google’s policies. LOTN receives purchase confirmation / entitlement signals from Google Play (such as product IDs and whether a purchase succeeded) so the app can unlock the content you bought. We do not receive or store your full payment card numbers on our servers — we do not operate a payment processor.
Refunds, payment disputes, and Google account billing settings are managed through Google Play / your Google account, subject to Google’s terms.
6. Other data stored on your device
LOTN stores the following locally in app-private storage (for example, JSON save files):
- Game progress — level, inventory, quests, settings, and similar gameplay state;
- Hero name you choose when creating a character (fictional, not verified identity);
- Step baselines, pending step credits, and daily play statistics derived from local step reads;
- A timestamp used to calculate step catch-up when you reopen the app;
- App version and device time for local game logic (daily resets, compatibility); and
- Local records of Play Games sign-in state and purchase entitlements needed to restore unlocked content on this device.
Local saves remain on your device. If you use Play Games cloud features, a copy of eligible progress may also be stored with Google associated with your Play Games account.
7. What we do not collect or do
Lord of the Net does not:
- Operate a separate LOTN user-registration website or password database;
- Sell personal or sensitive user data;
- Use third-party advertising, analytics, or crash-reporting SDKs that collect your data;
- Upload Health Connect step counts or health data to our servers;
- Access contacts, SMS, call logs, microphone, camera, or precise location; or
- Collect your legal name, email, or phone number for gameplay — unless you voluntarily email us for support, or Google provides limited account identifiers through Play Games / Play Billing as part of those services.
8. Android permissions
Depending on your device and settings, LOTN may request:
- Health Connect — Steps (read) — required for step-based gameplay and catch-up;
- Physical activity / activity recognition — for the on-device step sensor while playing;
- Read health data in background (optional) — for Health Connect updates while the app is not open; and
- Ignore battery optimizations (optional) — so Health Connect and related services can stay updated in the background; you may decline and still play with reduced catch-up convenience.
Google Play Games sign-in and Google Play Billing use Google Play / Google account flows rather than separate Health Connect permissions. You can revoke Health Connect and activity permissions at any time in Android settings and in the Health Connect app. If step access is revoked, step-based progression will stop until permission is granted again. You can sign out of Play Games or manage purchases in Google Play / account settings.
9. How we use information
We use the data described above solely to:
- Run LOTN and save your progress on your device;
- Convert permitted step reads into in-game turns;
- Restore your game when you reopen the app;
- Enable optional Google Play Games features you choose to use;
- Unlock and restore in-app purchases processed through Google Play Billing; and
- Respond to support emails you send us voluntarily.
10. How we share information
We do not sell personal or sensitive user data. We do not share your Health Connect step data with advertisers or analytics vendors.
When you use Google Play Games or Google Play Billing, information necessary for those services is processed by Google as described in Google’s Privacy Policy. Google Play also distributes the app and may process store, device, and install data under the same Google policies.
We may disclose information only if required by law, court order, or to protect safety and legal rights.
11. Storage, security, retention, and deletion
Storage: Local LOTN data is stored in the app’s private storage on your device, protected by Android’s application sandbox. Play Games cloud data and purchase records associated with your Google account are stored by Google.
Security: We do not operate a backend that receives your health / step data. Standard device protections (screen lock, OS updates) help protect local files. Google is responsible for the security of Play Games and Play Billing systems.
Retention: Local data is kept on your device until you delete it. Daily statistics may roll off after a limited on-device history window. Google retains Play Games and billing data according to Google’s policies.
Deletion: Clear the app’s storage in Android settings or uninstall the app to remove local saves and step-related game state. Revoke Health Connect access separately in system settings if you wish to stop the app from reading new steps. To manage or delete Play Games / Google account data, use Google account and Play Games settings (and Google’s data tools). Uninstalling LOTN alone may not delete Google-side Play Games or purchase history.
12. Children’s privacy
LOTN is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction without parental consent). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has contacted us with personal information, email lordofthenet2026@gmail.com. Google Play and Play Games age and parental-control rules also apply where Google provides those services.
13. Your choices
- Grant or deny step and activity permissions when prompted;
- Change permissions later in Android settings and Health Connect;
- Sign in to or out of Google Play Games when the app offers that option;
- Decide whether to make optional in-app purchases through Google Play Billing;
- Clear app data or uninstall to remove local saves; and
- Contact us with privacy questions at lordofthenet2026@gmail.com.
14. Google Play Data safety
Our Google Play Data safety section must match this policy. For LOTN, that generally means declaring:
- Fitness / health information (steps) — collected and processed on-device for app functionality, not shared by us with third parties for advertising, and not sold;
- App activity / gameplay — local saves, and optional Play Games-related progress;
- Purchases — handled via Google Play Billing; and
- Data that may be shared with Google as part of Play Games and Play Billing (declare per Google Play Console guidance).
Update the Data safety form whenever the app’s data practices change.
15. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always at this URL with an updated effective date. Material changes may be noted in the Google Play listing or in-app where appropriate.
