Lords of the Net

Lords of the Net is a bug-catching idle RPG for Android — spiritually inspired by Gods of Angling, built by the same team. Create a hero, explore habitats, and collect bug species while your real-world steps drive in-game turns. Offline-first: no accounts, no cloud save, no data upload.

Walk to play

On mobile, 1 step = 1 turn. The app reads step counts from Health Connect and your device’s activity sensor — with your permission through Android system prompts. Steps stay on your device; they are used only to advance gameplay and are never transmitted to our servers.

Bug-catching idle RPG

Swinging nets, habitat-tagged species, leveling, loot, and a typewriter combat log in the same idle-RPG tradition as Gods of Angling — but with bugs instead of fish. Check in for a minute or let steps bank while you live your day.

Health Connect catch-up

While the app is open, live steps credit turns from the phone sensor. When you minimize or return later, Health Connect reconciles steps you took away from the app — Pikmin Bloom–style catch-up on Continue. Optional background health read and battery settings help keep totals fresh.

Offline & private

Saves live locally on your device. No Google Play Games sign-in, no in-app purchases, no analytics SDKs. Revoke step access anytime in Health Connect or Android settings. See our Privacy Policy for Google Play–compliant details.

Heroes & habitats

Roll a hero, pick habitats, and build a collection across bug species tied to biomes — the pocket-sized cousin to GoA’s race/class combos and world progression, tuned for touch and short sessions.

Coming to Google Play

LOTN is distributed on Google Play when the public Android build is ready. Store listing and release timing will be linked here. Desktop builds use an automatic idle timer instead of steps for local testing.
